Akasa's musical journey began from an unexpecAkasa's musical journey began from an unexpected experience that altered every aspect of her life at the ancient oracle of Delphi in Greece. She began to hear music arising with the diverse musical elements of the world cultures. Since this event, Akasa has been using her voice as a vehicle to explore the full spectrum of human emotions and the diverse archetypal energies from the world mythologies and the collective unconscious. Akasa's music crosses over many genres: from Pop, Club, Dance, Electronica, Jazz, Blues, R& B, New Age, Flamenco/Gypsy fusion, Rock, Indigenous chant to World music fusion. In some of Akasa's songs, she sings with her own language, a unique form of vocalization. Akasa's greatest passion is to express dark night of the soul, the quest for the meaning of life and transformation of human experience through her music.

Akasa holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Akasa shared her work with international and academic audiences at numerous conferences and symposiums including: The International Conference on Shamanism, Healing and Transformation; The National Association for Humanities Education Conference; Embodiment and Environment Conference, Oxford University, UK; The Future of Interdisciplinary Education Conference, San Francisco State University;; The Society for Shamanic Practitioners Conference; The Closing ceremony for Empowering Women of Color Conference, U.C. Berkeley; Opening ceremony for the New Living Expo; Earthdance International music festival and many other cultural and musical events. Akasa was one of the council members for Society for Shamanism, Healing and Transformation assisting organizing an annual international conference and conducting a ceremonial role from the year 2007 to 2009. She has collaborated with Belgian philosopher Michel Bauwens, legendary consciousness researcher Dr. Stanley Krippner, sociologist and Western mystery school teacher Dr. Pamela Eakins, Visionary artist and teacher Dr. Rowena Pattee Kryder through her vision movie productions. She has also collaborated with mathematic cosmologist Dr. Brian Swimme, consciousness pioneer Dr. Ralph Metzer and spiritual comedian Swami Beyondananda through her productions: 10 Cosmological Powers and Dreaming Anew events at Sausalito and Berkeley, California.

Akasa's musical performance contains the essence of a universal ceremony expressed in a unique fusion of concert and theatrical performing art which is to explore the meaning of life, love, suffering, issues of humanity and the earth and the collective shared dreams. At their core, Akasa's vision for her music and performances arise from the synergy of the indigenous cultures, ancient and contemporary world civilizations which represents the true spirit of the United States as a melting pot for world cultures and races. Gifted with the power of passion to move the mass energy, she evokes the audiences to feel the core of their universal beings and the beauty and possibility of human potential.

As co-author of “The Psychedelic Experience” with Timothy Leary and Ram Dass, Dr. Ralph Metzner proclaims: “Akasa has tapped into a primordial source of sound that she brings forth with ecstatic power.
